Tommy and Rufus: Setting block and slinging mudd!
Former Pastor, Russ Woody after a long, hot day in the Nicaraguan sun.
Nicaragua March 2008
Tommy Pittard, Rufus Wood, and former Pastor, Russ Woody spent a week with a team of Southern Baptists in Central America aiding with construction, VBS, and fellowshipping with IMB personnel who have answered the call to share the gospel of Jesus Christ cross-culturally. This was the first mission endeavor for Mt. Hope of what we hope are many to come. It is the intention of Mt. Hope to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth. (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8).
Montana September 2009
Mt. Hope traveled with a small team to Livingston, MT to aid with remodeling a newly leased downtown store front which has become the meeting place of Cornerstone Community Fellowship. The team worked with pastors Paul Seddon and Cody Wood who are co-pastors of a new church plant in Livingston.
Lynch, Kentucky April 2010
Mt. Hope joined with Ball Ground Baptist Church and the Cowboy Church at Jerusalem to travel to Lynch, KY to aid with various missions assignments. We worked with Meridzo Ministries in and around Lynch improve the facilities at Solomon's Porch, provide some up-keep with The Stables at Creekside Glen, and construction/remodeling at their Shekinah Village summer retreat/conference/camp center. Team members were able to go into the community to spread awareness of Meridzo's ministries, to provide seed packets for planting gardens and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
